A serious multi-vehicle collision occurred in Cartagena on Tuesday, October the eighth, with emergency services responding promptly to the scene. The incident, which took place around one o’clock in the afternoon on the RM-E twenty-two road linking Cartagena to Mazarrón, involved two cars colliding head-on, while a third vehicle was implicated in a lateral collision.

Firefighters from the Cartagena City Council’s Fire Extinguishing and Rescue Service (SEIS) carried out rescue operations for the injured. Two occupants from the vehicles that collided head-on were evacuated; one was rescued through the boot, while the other was assisted through the driver’s door. Medical personnel and the Civil Guard were also on scene to support emergency efforts.

After ensuring the safety of all individuals involved, firefighters cleared debris from the roadway to restore traffic flow. The response showcased effective coordination between emergency services to handle the accident efficiently.
