Passengers travelling through the Region of Murcia International Airport can now benefit from a new book exchange area, which has recently opened near the boarding gates in Corvera. This space offers a wide range of reading material for all ages and tastes, including children’s titles, allowing younger flyers to enjoy a good book while they wait for their flights. The initiative encourages passengers to borrow a book and share something they enjoyed once they finish reading.

This book exchange is part of the airport’s ongoing Quality Plan, which aims to enhance the passenger experience through small but meaningful amenities. The project was made possible thanks to generous donations from local public libraries and airport staff, giving it a strong community focus.

In addition to the book exchange, the airport has made other improvements recently. Earlier this summer, two specially adapted toilets for travellers with ostomy bags were installed in the boarding area. These facilities are equipped with suitable sanitary devices, hand-held shower hoses, changing material counters, and necessary dispensers.

Furthermore, Corvera’s duty free area underwent a redesign and expansion, moved to a more convenient location right after security. This update allows all passengers to access the shopping area seamlessly. With the addition of new gourmet and sweets shops, as well as a focus on local products, the commercial area aims to make the time spent in the terminal a little more enjoyable.
