A new traffic diversion has officially opened today, the twenty-third of September, allowing access to the fish market and the Marina Salinas Port. The route consists of a road with one lane designated for entry into the port and another for exit towards the city centre. A pedestrian crossing has also been included to ensure safe passage for pedestrians from the promenade of La Libertad.

The opening of this provisional diversion facilitates the commencement of construction work on the removal of the structure at the Dique de Levante. This work will take place from the starting point near the monument to the Man of the Sea to its connection with the initial phase of the rehabilitation works of the aforementioned dock. Currently, this renovation project is nearing completion.

The removal of the existing structure is crucial as it will allow for the construction of the necessary foundations and the ramp structure. Additionally, the connection walkway to the leisure centre “Paseo del Mar” is also underway at the city’s port.

The total cost of this project amounts to two million six hundred and thirty thousand five hundred and eighty-three euros and is being executed by ORTHEM SERVICIOS Y ACTUACIONES AMBIENTALES SA.
