A strong community movement in Los Alcázares has emerged, with over thirteen thousand residents signing petitions for a twenty-four hour emergency service at the local health centre. The Amarme association has taken a lead role in this initiative, delivering a remarkable ten thousand signatures directly to the town council.

In addition to those signatures, more than two thousand have been amassed at collection tables set up in various locations, including the town hall, the senior citizens’ centre, Las Claras centre, and the youth space known as La Torre. The ongoing effort has seen daily increases in support.

Furthermore, the Federation of Neighbourhood Associations of Cartagena, also known as Favcac, is actively participating, having already secured an additional three thousand signatures. This combined effort reflects the urgent need expressed by residents for enhanced medical services in the area.

Community advocates are hoping that these efforts will prompt local authorities to take immediate action, ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents by establishing a reliable emergency service at the health centre in Los Alcázares.
