A fifty-five-year-old woman was injured this morning when her hand became trapped in a machine while she was working on a farm in Yecla. The incident occurred at nine fifty-one and prompted immediate emergency responses. The Regional Emergency Coordination Centre received a call alerting them to the situation, which took place near the N-404 road and the Caserío Umbría del Factor.

Witnesses reported that the woman required medical assistance as well as assistance from firefighters to free her trapped limb. Emergency services, including patrols from the Civil Guard, firefighters from the Murcia Region Fire and Rescue Consortium, and a Mobile Emergency Unit, quickly arrived on the scene to aid her.

Firefighters successfully freed the woman, after which she was stabilised by health professionals from the Mobile Emergency Unit. She was then transported to Virgen de la Arrixaca Hospital in Murcia for further treatment.

The incident has been reported to the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health of the Region of Murcia for further investigation. This occurrence highlights ongoing concerns regarding workplace safety in the agricultural sector across the region.
