The Ayuntamiento de Torrevieja, through the councillor for International Residents, Gitte Lund Thomsen, has announced new Spanish courses designed to improve both oral and written communication for international residents registered in the city. These courses will commence in October and will feature a total of six training groups, each with approximately fifteen places available. Four of the groups are aimed at beginners, while two cater to intermediate learners.

Each group will consist of thirty-two hours of teaching over eight weeks, with classes lasting for two hours each session. Available schedules include sessions from 09:00 to 11:00, 12:00 to 14:00, and 16:00 to 18:00. Interested participants can register from the eighth to the twenty-second of September twenty twenty-five. Registration can be done in person at the register office next to the Ayuntamiento de Torrevieja or online at the official electronic headquarters website.

Participants must be registered residents of Torrevieja and classified as international residents to join these courses. The aim of this programme is to facilitate the integration of international residents by equipping them with the necessary language skills for everyday life and professional environments. It is important to note that these courses will not provide an official certification, as their focus is primarily practical.

The lessons will be held at the Be Magic academy, which has been awarded a service contract for three years, amounting to a total of sixty thousand euros, with twenty thousand euros allocated annually. This initiative is part of the Ayuntamiento de Torrevieja’s commitment to promoting the integration and coexistence of the thousands of international residents within the local community.
