The Town Hall of Pilar de la Horadada has announced the tender for the renovation and improvement of forty-one playgrounds. This initiative is part of the Planifica twenty twenty-four to twenty twenty-seven in the Province of Alicante, requiring an investment of over one million euros. Currently, the municipality has nearly fifty areas designated for children’s play, with the surfaces of forty-one sites having deteriorated over time and lost essential safety qualities.

Furthermore, playground equipment installed at twenty-two green spaces has reached the end of its useful life, emphasising the need for renovation. The technical specifications of the project detail two distinct areas for the work: the inland parks and the coastal areas. In total, twenty-four playgrounds along the coast will be addressed, in locations including Calle Mar Egeo, Avenida Virgen Asunción, and Parque Antonio Gálvez.

Meanwhile, the inland areas will see renovations across seventeen playgrounds, including Parque Catalina Sánchez Sánchez and Parque 30 de Julio. A base budget of one million one hundred thousand euros has been set for the tender, inclusive of VAT. The chosen contractor will have an ideal execution period of ten months, followed by a twelve-month guarantee period from provisional acceptance.

The planned renovations aim for a minimum lifespan of five years for the completed works and enhancements. This initiative reflects the municipality’s commitment to ensuring safe and enjoyable play areas for the children of Pilar de la Horadada.
