Princess Leonor has begun her third and final year of military training at the General Air and Space Academy in San Javier. The heir to the throne previously trained at the General Military Academy in Zaragoza and the Naval Military School in Marín. Her presence in the area is expected to benefit the local economy, particularly for businesses in the coastal region of Vega Baja, as she will be located just ten kilometres away. The Princess, who holds the rank of alférez at the San Javier military base, is also scheduled to visit various municipalities in the vicinity, as well as the headquarters of the regional government and the Regional Assembly.
