A seventy-year-old woman has tragically died after being rescued from the Mediterranean Sea at La Gola in Cartagena, Murcia. Emergency services received multiple calls at nine forty-one yesterday morning reporting that a person had been pulled from the water and was unconscious.
According to witnesses, the individuals who rescued her began performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation immediately. Upon arrival, emergency teams found the woman in cardiac arrest and worked diligently to revive her.
Despite their extensive efforts, medical personnel were unable to save her. The incident has raised concerns about safety in the popular swimming areas of the region, particularly amidst changing sea conditions.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the rescue in an effort to prevent further tragedies at the beach. Community members are mourning the loss as they remember the importance of safety during water activities.
