The construction of the TM Tower has officially commenced in the Poniente area, marking a significant development in the skyline of Benidorm. The tower, reaching a height of two hundred and thirty metres and comprising sixty-four floors, will exceed the previous tallest building, Intempo, which stands at two hundred and two metres with forty-seven floors. Positioned just fifty metres from the beach, this towering structure promises to be an iconic addition to the city.

Notably, the TM Tower will feature a cutting-edge astronomical observatory on its sixty-third floor, designed in collaboration with experts from the Jesús Carnicer Interactive Science Museum. This unique facility aims to provide an immersive experience, equipped with advanced optical and digital instruments for discovery.

Safety has been a paramount concern in the tower’s design. Its structure, made of reinforced concrete, is engineered to absorb and dissipate wind loads, ensuring stability even in strong winds. Extensive tests at the Ignacio Da Riva Wind Tunnel Institute in Madrid confirmed the tower’s resilience against various wind scenarios, employing a physical model of the tower and its urban surroundings for these simulations.

With a state-of-the-art fire safety plan comparable to that of airports, the TM Tower will ensure safe and orderly evacuation procedures for all occupants in emergencies. The design of the tower not only stands as a feat of engineering but also reflects Mediterranean influences, resembling a marine coral as a tribute to the region’s coastal heritage. This will be the sixth skyscraper developed by TM Grupo Inmobiliario in the Poniente area, adding over one thousand residential units predominantly aimed at the tourism sector.
