Two men, aged twenty-seven and thirty-eight, have been arrested in Torrevieja following a burglary in Orihuela Costa. The authorities were alerted to the robbery, prompting a swift response by the Guardia Civil, who managed to apprehend the suspects shortly after the crime occurred. During the apprehension, some of the stolen items were recovered.

Following the arrests, the Guardia Civil conducted a search of the luxury residence the suspects were using in Torrevieja. This investigation yielded a substantial haul of over one thousand MDMA pills, amounting to approximately four hundred and fifty-two grams, and one thousand four hundred and twenty grams of cannabis buds. Additionally, the agents found scales and materials indicative of drug trafficking activities.

The stolen property, including jewellery and electronic equipment, was valued at around fifteen thousand euros and has since been recovered. The two suspects have been charged with burglary of a dwelling and trafficking in illegal substances, and they have been placed in custody at the Judicial Court number four in Torrevieja.

This operation forms part of a larger security effort by the Guardia Civil aimed at preventing crime in coastal urbanisations during the summer holiday period. Authorities continue to investigate the incident further to dismantle any ongoing criminal activities in the area.
