The airports of Valencia and Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández have reported remarkable growth in passenger traffic for July 2025, setting new records. Valencia Airport welcomed one million one hundred and thirty-two thousand four hundred and two passengers, reflecting a four point two percent increase from the same month in twenty twenty-four. In contrast, Alicante-Elche Airport registered two million one hundred and six thousand nine hundred and ninety-one passengers, experiencing a rise of five point nine percent year-on-year.

International travel was a significant factor in Valencia’s growth, with eight hundred and forty-eight thousand four hundred and sixty-one international passengers recorded, marking a seven point eight percent increase. However, domestic travel saw a decline, with two hundred and eighty-one thousand two hundred and thirty-six travellers, a drop of five point six percent. For Alicante, international traffic surged by eight point five percent, with one million eight hundred and seventy-one thousand seven hundred and eighty-five international passengers.

Among international passengers at Valencia Airport, Italy led the statistics with one hundred and seventy-three thousand eight hundred and fourteen travellers, closely followed by Germany with ninety-two thousand seven hundred and eighty-seven. The United Kingdom contributed eighty-nine thousand three hundred and forty, while France and the Netherlands marked eighty-seven thousand and six and eighty-five thousand eight hundred and thirty-seven respectively. At Alicante Airport, the UK was again the main country of origin with six hundred and eighty-eight thousand nine hundred and sixty-eight travellers.

In terms of flight operations, Alicante Airport facilitated twelve thousand eight hundred and twenty-nine movements, a five point seven percent increase compared to July twenty twenty-four, while Valencia operated eight thousand seven hundred and seventy-seven flights, showing a four point eight percent rise. Overall, Aena Group airports in Spain handled over thirty-eight million passengers in July, a two point seven percent increase from the previous year.
