A series of tremors has been felt near the coast of Torrevieja, starting with the first earthquake recorded at seven fourteen in the evening. This quake measured one point three on the Richter scale and has been followed by eleven additional recorded shakes up until six o’clock this morning, according to the National Seismographic Institute.

The most significant tremor occurred at nine twenty-three, measuring three point six and felt by some residents in the area. Most of the seismic activity has been centred in the waters between Torrevieja and Santa Pola. Additionally, there have been ten aftershocks recorded, varying in magnitude from one point five to two point three.

Experts from Proyecto Mastral suggest that these earthquakes are typical for the region, but they do advise monitoring the situation closely. Authorities caution that further seismic activity could still occur, and residents should remain vigilant.
