TheTown Council of Torre Pacheco has initiated construction on eleven smart pedestrian crossings in the town centre, aimed at improving pedestrian safety. This project serves as a forerunner to a larger municipal plan that intends to expand the network of smart crossings throughout the municipality over the coming years.

The estimated completion time for this installation is three months, with the service anticipated to be operational by the end of the year. The total investment earmarked for this project approaches thirty thousand euros, signalling the council’s commitment to enhancing urban mobility and safety for all residents.

The contract for the installation has been awarded to the company Imesapi. This development aligns with ongoing efforts to modernise infrastructure and offers residents improved accessibility in key pedestrian areas.
