This year, Pilar de la Horadada celebrates its segregation from Orihuela with a significant milestone, as it opens the new cultural centre on the thirtieth of July, 2025. Known as Camme, this modern facility encompasses four thousand two hundred and fifty square metres of space and offers various amenities including museums, study rooms, and a library.

The ground floor will house the Gratiniano Baches Ethnological and Archaeological Museum and the Sánchez Lozano Art Museum, along with a temporary exhibitions area. It will also feature a study room with ninety-six workstations, designed to facilitate learning and research.

On the first floor, visitors will find the library’s storage, a general reading area, a children’s section, a computer lab, and a museum library. The upper floor will contain five multipurpose classrooms for training, along with a meeting room and administrative offices.

Celebratory events today include a traditional bell ringing at five o’clock to commemorate the moment, nearly four decades ago, when Pilar de la Horadada received the formal decree of separation from Orihuela. Later in the evening, at nine thirty, institutional acknowledgements will be made to honour this significant anniversary.
