Mayor Pedro Javier Sánchez of San Pedro del Pinatar recently visited the ongoing construction of the new Sala 112 at the Integrated Security Centre. This upgrade represents a significant enhancement to local emergency services, as the new facility will double the available space, allowing for improved coordination and response to emergencies.

The local council has allocated over sixty-six thousand euros for these renovations, which include civil works and the installation of advanced technical equipment. Key features of the new Sala 112 will include efficient climate control, universal accessibility, acoustic insulation, ergonomic workstations, and a videowall system for better visual management of alerts and emergencies.

Sánchez emphasised that this initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to equipping San Pedro del Pinatar with modern and efficient infrastructure. He noted that the improvements will enable faster and more effective management of incidents, making the municipality a safer environment for all residents.

As the construction progresses, it is anticipated that the renovations will conclude in the coming months, followed by a technical equipping phase lasting no more than three months. This facility is designed to become the nerve centre for security and emergency management in the area.
