Almoradí has kicked off its much-awaited Fair and Festivals for two thousand and twenty five, honouring the local patron saints Santicos de la Piedra, San Abdón and San Senén. The festivities started with an institutional event filled with excitement, followed by a lively night that attracted thousands of residents and visitors to the town’s centre. The day began with the traditional procession involving past and present Queens and Ladies, accompanied by local authorities and the Union Musical de Almoradí.

The highlight of the night was a captivating inaugural speech by Ana Gómez Tafalla, a distinguished alumna and current faculty member at the University of Valencia. Her address, focused on the importance of local heritage, identity, and women’s roles in society, resonated deeply with attendees. Following her remarks, the celebrations transitioned to the main square, where the Spanish duo Los del Río performed, creating a vibrant atmosphere enjoyed by all generations.

Additionally, in another nearby square, the eagerly awaited Almoradí Sound festival showcased a concert with Beret and several local DJs, drawing a large crowd for an unforgettable evening. This successful launch sets the tone for this year’s Fair and Festivals, which promise a rich blend of tradition, culture, sport, music, and entertainment, going above and beyond previous years in terms of quality and quantity of events.

Upcoming activities include the Huertano Parade this Saturday and the following Moors and Christians Festival, both of which are key aspects of Almoradí’s cultural identity, bringing the community together in celebration.
