Hotel stays in the Comunidad Valenciana increased in June, growing by two point nine percent compared to the same month last year. The total number of overnight stays reached three million one hundred ninety-five thousand, according to the National Institute of Statistics. More than one million tourists visited the region during this time, with domestic travellers representation at fifty-seven point three percent and international visitors accounting for forty-two point seven percent.

Among the tourists, five hundred eighty thousand nine hundred sixty-six were residents of Spain, marking a one point seven percent rise from the previous year, while foreign visitors increased by six point two percent. For the total overnight stays, domestic tourists made approximately forty-nine point nine percent, and international guests represented fifty point one percent.

The average daily rate for hotel rooms was set at one hundred sixteen euros, reflecting a three percent increase year on year. Accommodation prices throughout the Comunidad Valenciana experienced an overall rise of two point five percent from the previous year. The region achieved a hotel occupancy rate of sixty-six point nine two percent, while the sector provided employment for twenty thousand nine hundred thirty-four individuals, marking a three point three percent increase in employment.

When compared to other autonomous communities, the Balearic Islands recorded the highest occupancy rate at eighty-two point one eight percent, followed by the Canary Islands at seventy-two point six eight percent. In contrast, Extremadura, Castilla-La Mancha, and Aragón had some of the lowest occupancy rates. Also, hotel prices rose across Spain, with Asturias and the Balearic Islands seeing the largest increases in hotel tariffs compared to last June.
