Pedro Javier Sánchez, the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, visited the ongoing construction of the new emergency response centre on Monday. This facility, located within the comprehensive security centre, is crucial for modernising emergency coordination services and enhancing public safety in the municipality. The new centre will provide double the space of the previous installations, enabling a more functional and technologically advanced environment.

The renovations are backed by an investment exceeding sixty-six thousand euros, which covers civil works as well as specialised technical equipment and furniture. This upgrade will feature efficient climate control, universal accessibility, acoustic insulation, ergonomic workstations, and a cutting-edge video wall for managing alerts and emergencies.

Local officials highlighted that these improvements will facilitate faster, more effective responses to incidents throughout the municipality. Currently, the construction is in an advanced stage, and the project is expected to wrap up in the coming months. Following the completion of the construction, additional technical equipment will be installed, with a maximum timeframe of three months for this phase.

Once operational, the centre is envisaged to serve as the nerve centre for security and emergency services in San Pedro del Pinatar, reflecting a significant step forward in the safety infrastructure for the local community.
