Firefighters from the Alicante Provincial Consortium are currently working to extinguish a forest fire that has erupted in the province. The fire ignited in a reed bed and has since spread to the forest area within the Natural Park of Las Salinas in Torrevieja. The fire was reported on Saturday at approximately six fifty in the evening near La Torreta, an area known for its historical spa.

A command unit, along with two heavy urban firefighting engines, and a heavy water tender, is involved in the firefighting efforts. This team comprises a sergeant, two crew leaders, and five firefighters from both the Torrevieja and Orihuela parks.
