The Guardia Civil has confirmed an escalation in security measures in Torre Pacheco, with plans to deploy between one hundred and ten to one hundred and twenty agents over the coming days. Colonel Francisco Pulido stated that peace is gradually returning, following a recent evening where tensions significantly decreased. The situation remains under control, with officers on standby for potential challenges from outside groups.

Nine individuals have been arrested for various offences related to violent disturbances, including five for hate crimes and public disorder. Authorities also observed that most of those involved are not local residents, raising concerns about external influences in the area. Government representative Mariola Guevara emphasised the necessity of police presence in order to deter further gatherings.

Furthermore, there were discussions about possible future interventions, including expediting police or military support if needed. The police are monitoring social media closely to preemptively address any planned protests or disturbances. So far, incidents of violence have been largely contained, and there have been no serious injuries reported.

As the situation develops, officials remain vigilant, stressing that the priority is to maintain public safety and order. They aim to address the root causes of these disturbances while reassuring residents that their safety remains paramount.
