The town of Los Montesinos has officially opened the newly renovated children’s park located in Plaza de la Constitución. This significant upgrade, which involved an investment of one hundred sixty-one thousand five hundred ninety euros, aims to provide a safer, more accessible, and welcoming environment for local children and families.

Key improvements include the installation of new play equipment and the replacement of deteriorating steps to enhance safety for young users. All play structures now adhere to safety guidelines, ensuring ample space to minimise risks. Additional safety features have been incorporated, including a newly installed fence to protect children from a previously identified hazardous slope.

Furthermore, health and environmental factors were carefully considered during the restoration. Some trees have been elevated to manage root impacts, and permeable concrete has been laid beneath artificial grass to improve drainage. Surveillance cameras have also been installed to deter vandalism, ensuring a secure space for families.

Mayor José Manuel Butrón emphasised that this park redevelopment reflects the council’s commitment to the well-being and development of residents, especially children. The council encourages the community to enjoy and care for this new recreational area, reinforcing the importance of creating safe, pleasant environments for families in Los Montesinos.
