The Ayuntamiento de Torrevieja has implemented new parking regulations on the busy Ramón Gallud street, which has been struggling with heavy traffic and parked vehicles. The situation intensifies during the summer months due to the increasing population in the area. To address this issue, the local government has decided to limit parking times to manage congestion effectively.

Beginning today, parking will only be permitted between nine in the morning and five in the afternoon. Furthermore, vehicles will be allowed to park for a maximum duration of two hours. These changes are intended to ensure that residents and visitors can carry out their business in the city centre more efficiently.

Local police will enforce these regulations using number plate recognition technology, which will help monitor compliance. Federico Alarcón, the local police councillor, emphasised that fines will be imposed on anyone who violates these new rules outside the designated hours.

With these measures, the Ayuntamiento of Torrevieja aims to improve traffic flow on Ramón Gallud street, allowing for a more pleasant experience for both residents and visitors alike.
