The Local Government of Torrevieja has approved a significant contract for maritime marking along its beaches, awarding the project to Recreativos Acuático Horadada S L for one hundred seventy-two thousand nine hundred euros. This contract ensures the marking of swimming zones and safe navigation channels along the coastline, enhancing safety for beachgoers.

The maritime marking service will be in effect for the next four years, with a requirement for it to be fully operational from the twelfth of April each year. Notably, specific old dates have been set for the following years, including the twenty-eighth of March in two thousand twenty-six and the twentieth of March in two thousand twenty-seven.

This initiative is essential not only for establishing clear boundaries for swimming areas but also for ensuring that nautical channels and structures such as floats are securely marked. The overall aim is to organise and harmonise the various recreational activities on the beaches, providing a clear separation between permitted swimming zones and other beach activities.
