The Local Police of Orihuela has successfully carried out various operations over recent days, leading to the arrests of several individuals for alleged crimes against property and public health. These interventions were made possible through active surveillance devices located throughout the municipality and by the cooperation of local citizens.

One notable incident involved a police patrol that intercepted a van during a routine check in the Villamartín area of Orihuela Costa. The vehicle attempted to evade the control, but upon inspection, officers discovered two boxes containing over seven kilograms of suspected cannabis, alongside a precision scale and vacuum-sealing equipment. The occupants were subsequently arrested on charges related to public health violations.

In another operation, a citizen alerted authorities about a woman attempting to break into parked vehicles. Following a swift investigation, a local patrol located a person fitting the description provided. Upon identification, it was revealed that this individual was subject to a search and arrest warrant and was taken into custody immediately.

Additionally, during a traffic control operation in the urban area on the twenty-fourth of May, officers detected a high-end vehicle with foreign plates occupied by two undocumented individuals. Checks confirmed that the vehicle had been stolen and featured in international databases. The driver also lacked a valid driving licence. Both suspects were arrested and handed over to the Guardia Civil for further proceedings, along with the recovery of a key belonging to another stolen vehicle.
