In La Manga, bus services will be boosted from mid-June through September to better serve both locals and tourists during the busy summer season. This decision comes as part of an effort to increase the frequency of popular bus routes and to cover the entire length of the tourist enclave. The new schedule will feature additional daily services, especially on weekends, starting in mid-June.

Changes to the bus routes include shifting Line 43’s terminal from Pedruchillo to Aldeas de Taray and moving Line 44’s terminal from Aldeas de Taray to Veneziola II. These improvements aim to enhance accessibility throughout La Manga.

This announcement follows an agreement signed in January between the La Manga Consortium and the transport company TUCARSA, leading to additional travel options and discounts. These benefits include free travel for individuals in vulnerable situations, such as those with disabilities and at-risk families, along with reduced fares of between thirty pence and eighty pence for groups like large families, retirees, young people, and the unemployed.

To date, a total of two hundred seventy-five transportation cards have been issued to residents eligible for these discounts. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to improve public transport accessibility in the region and to support local communities during the tourist season.
