The summer season has been marked by the opening of lifeguard posts at three popular beaches in Los Alcázares, along the scenic Mar Menor. Starting from first July, lifeguard services will expand across the entire seven-kilometre stretch of coastline. Councillor María José Benzal confirmed that the posts are currently stationed at Los Narejos, Las Palmeras, and Playa Manzanares, operating daily from eleven in the morning until seven in the evening.

These lifeguard posts provide not only the essential service of monitoring beach safety but also offer an assisted bathing service for individuals with physical disabilities. In addition, they are equipped with jetskis and kayaks to assist in potential rescue situations, ensuring a safe environment for all beachgoers.

Los Alcázares, despite its relatively small size, heavily relies on tourism throughout the year, prompting the establishment of two tourist information offices. One is located in the town centre, while the other is situated in the beachfront area of Los Narejos, where visitors can find a wealth of information about local attractions and activities.
