An eighty-seven-year-old man was rescued unconscious from the water at Los Narejos beach in Los Alcázares yesterday. Emergency services received a call from beachgoers who spotted him in distress at twelve thirty-nine. Prompt action was taken as lifeguards swiftly approached the scene.
Ambulances from the local Emergency and Civil Protection Services and the regional Emergency Management were on hand to provide immediate medical assistance. Upon arrival, they stabilised the man before transporting him to the Los Arcos hospital in San Javier.
Authorities continue to remind beachgoers to be vigilant and report any emergencies as quickly as possible. The response from emergency services was efficient, highlighting their preparedness for situations like these.
The condition of the man remains unknown at this time, and further updates are expected from the hospital regarding his recovery.
