Almoradí’s town hall is implementing measures to support the local transport sector, aligned with its economic promotion goals for the current legislative period. These initiatives include financial aid for training and tax reductions, aimed at enhancing the capabilities of local businesses. One key part of this plan is the free driving course for truck licenses, which has begun with fifteen students currently enrolled. This course includes theoretical and practical modules, covering a total duration of two hundred and ten hours, fully funded by the municipality.

Additionally, the town hall has reduced the tax on mechanical traction vehicles, which affects both trucks and trailers. The annual tax has decreased from one hundred and thirty-four euros and ninety-five cents to eighty-three euros and thirty cents, the maximum reduction permitted by regulation. This change represents significant savings for businesses, especially those operating fleets of more than three hundred vehicles.

Almoradí has also secured the approval of a Higher Technician degree course in Logistics and Transport, now offered at IES Azud de Alfeitamí, which has graduated its first cohort. This education is vital for the transport sector in Vega Baja, as it is one of the few institutions in the area providing this training.

Mayor María Gómez highlighted the importance of supporting the transport industry in a town where it plays a crucial economic role. She stated, ‘We work to strengthen this vital economic activity and attract more companies to establish their bases here.’
