Atalaya FV has submitted plans for a new solar photovoltaic plant in the municipality of Orihuela, named Las Paganas Solar. This facility aims to install a power capacity of zero point five megawatts. It will utilise eight hundred and ten solar modules, occupying around nine thousand five hundred and thirty square metres on a total parcel of twenty four thousand eight hundred and ninety six square metres.

The proposed site is located in the vicinity of Los Santos, between Albatera and the locality of La Murada, just four kilometres from the urban core of Orihuela. The project is now subject to public information, as announced by the Official Diary of the Generalitat Valenciana, which seeks administrative approvals for construction.

The estimated cost for the execution of this project is approximately three hundred and eighty one thousand five hundred and seventy four euros. The plans for Las Paganas Solar are part of a wider trend in Orihuela, where several photovoltaic projects have been submitted over the years.

While some projects have progressed, others have been rejected, including one proposed near the urban area of Torremendo. The local government continues to evaluate new applications for renewable energy developments in the area.
