Cartagena’s Local Police have opened proceedings against a man accused of breaching a restraining order taken out by his mother and assaulting his sister. The incident happened last week in the Los Dolores district, after a woman alerted the 112 Emergency Coordination Centre to say her brother had entered the family home عبر a terrace and physically attacked her.

Officers arrived at the scene but the suspect had fled moments earlier. Police confirmed that he was subject to an active restraining order in relation to his mother and have filed reports for alleged breach of sentence and domestic violence.

In a separate incident, officers have also launched proceedings against three minors accused of breaking into a primary school in La Aljorra. The alarm was triggered at around 2pm last Friday at CEIP Miguel de Cervantes, where cameras showed three masked individuals inside the premises.

Police units attended and found three young people, aged between 12 and 15, inside the school. Remains of computer equipment were discovered in the playground. The minors were identified and released into the care of their families. An investigation for alleged burglary with force is under way.
