Torrevieja City Council has approved a public tender for a new unified contract covering the organisation, production and delivery of eleven major neighbourhood and themed festivals in 2026. The agreement also includes the option of a one-year extension in 2027.

The contract brings together, for the first time, all sectoral celebrations under a single framework. These include events such as the Concentración Motera, Pride celebrations, the Hogueras of Molinos del Calvario, and festivals honouring San Roque, the Virgen del Carmen and the Virgen del Rocío, among others.

Fiestas councillor Rosario Martínez Chazarra said the move marks a milestone in the management of local celebrations. She said grouping the events into one contract will improve transparency, efficiency and quality, while encouraging specialised companies to compete for the work and ensuring better use of public funds.

The total estimated value of the contract is 682,869.54 euros, including the initial 2026 term, a possible 2027 extension and potential modifications. The first year is valued at 305,735 euros, with the contract due to begin on 25 April 2026.
