A baby who was seriously injured in a dog attack in Abanilla, Murcia, last Saturday is recovering well at the Doctor Balmis General University Hospital in Alicante, according to hospital sources.
The child was initially taken by family members to a health centre in the Alicante town of Pinoso. From there, the baby was airlifted by a medical helicopter to the hospital in Alicante, as confirmed by the Guardia Civil.
Earlier this week, hospital sources said the baby had been admitted in a reserved condition following the incident. The latest update indicates that the child’s condition is improving favourably.
No further details have been released about the circumstances of the attack.
