A young athlete from Torrevieja has claimed the Kickboxing World Cup title in the Full Contact (-57 kg) category after an outstanding performance in Jesolo, Italy. Felipe González secured the gold medal at one of the sport’s most prestigious international tournaments.

The competition brought together more than 4,000 athletes from 47 countries across five continents, making it one of the most significant events in the global kickboxing calendar. González delivered an impeccable campaign, showing strong technique, determination and composure against elite opponents.

He booked his place in the final after defeating a Hungarian competitor in a demanding semi-final. In the निर्णing bout, he faced the world number one from Moldova. Undeterred by the challenge, the Torrevieja fighter produced a superb display to win the contest and lift the championship belt.

The victory marks a major achievement for kickboxing in Torrevieja, further establishing the town as a growing force in the sport at international level.
