Two traffic accidents in Orihuela overnight have resulted in material damage but no injuries. Local Police intervened in separate collisions in Playa Flamenca and on Avenida de las Brisas.
Despite the apparent severity of the crashes, officers quickly secured both areas and checked the condition of the vehicle occupants. No one was hurt in either incident.
Orihuela Local Police say the accidents serve as a reminder of the risks linked to inattention while driving. Excessive confidence and distractions at the wheel remain among the most common factors in road traffic collisions.
Officers are urging motorists to maintain constant attention on the road, warning that even a second of distraction can have serious consequences. They have also reminded drivers that traffic regulations are clear on mobile phone use: holding a device while driving, even if not actively using it, carries a €200 fine and the loss of six licence points.
