Cartagena City Council’s municipal company Casco Antiguo has approved contracts worth around 1.5 million euros for improvement works in the Morería and Monte Sacro areas of the city.
The projects were awarded to the company Jumabeda, which won both public tender processes against other bidders. The works form part of wider efforts to regenerate and improve parts of the historic centre.
The decision was approved on Monday by members of the municipal government from the People’s Party and Vox. Councillors from MC, the PSOE and Sí Cartagena abstained during the vote.
Further details about the timetable and scope of the works are expected to be announced once the contracts are formally signed.
