An 18-year-old man has been remanded in provisional custody following an armed bank robbery in San Pedro del Pinatar last Friday. The suspect, identified as Malik D. A., appeared before Court of First Instance number three in San Javier on Monday.
He is accused of taking part in the robbery of a local bank branch, during which six employees and customers were held hostage at gunpoint. A second suspect involved in the incident is under the age of 18.
According to investigators, the pair entered the bank armed with pistols and threatened those inside. Despite the seriousness of the incident, no injuries were reported.
The robbery prompted a significant response from the Guardia Civil. The investigation remains ongoing.
