A heavy lorry and a car have been involved in a serious-looking collision at one of the main entrances to Torrevieja, though no injuries have been reported. The crash took place at around 20:00 on Thursday at a roundabout connecting the CV-95 with the main access road into the town centre.

According to initial reports, the lorry was joining the roundabout when it turned too tightly and encroached on the lane of a car that was entering the town. The lorry struck the car from the side, causing considerable material damage.

Despite the impact, the occupants of the car were unharmed. Officers from Torrevieja Local Police attended the scene, controlled traffic during a busy evening period and have opened an investigation to clarify the exact circumstances.

The incident has prompted renewed warnings about taking extra care on roundabouts and approach roads, particularly when large vehicles are involved, as lorries and trailers require a wider turning circle and may partially enter adjacent lanes.
