The Valencian Emergency Coordination Centre has warned of a fresh episode of strong winds across parts of the region.
An orange alert has been issued for the north of Castellón province from 10am until 5.59pm on Thursday, according to the State Meteorological Agency, AEMET. Yellow warnings are in place for southern Castellón, inland areas of Valencia and Alicante, as well as the southern coast of Castellón and the northern coast of Valencia.
The regional Ministry for Emergencies and the Interior has urged the public to remain vigilant and to follow civil protection advice available via the 112 website, the @GVA112 account on X, and the GVA 112 Avisos app.
Residents are advised to check the condition of their homes, secure awnings and antennas, close doors and windows, and remove loose objects from balconies. People are also being told to avoid water sports, fishing and exposed coastal areas, and to ensure boats are properly moored.
