Eighteen people have been arrested after joint inspection operations at nightlife venues in Almoradí and Callosa de Segura, according to the Guardia Civil.

Seventeen of those detained were arrested for breaches of immigration law. Another man was held under a European Arrest Warrant issued by Italy in connection with an alleged drug trafficking offence.

In Almoradí, officers inspected five establishments. One venue was sanctioned for two serious offences, eight people aged between 21 and 33 were arrested for immigration breaches, 37 individuals were identified and three sanction proposals were issued under the Organic Law for the Protection of Citizen Security.

In Callosa de Segura, four establishments were inspected, with two sanctioned for serious offences. Nine people aged between 20 and 30 were arrested for immigration breaches and 59 individuals were identified. The operations were carried out over two days by the Guardia Civil and National Police, with support from the Valencian regional police unit and local officers.
