Murcia’s Christmas lighting will be switched on this week, after Mayor José Ballesta explained the plan in a post on the council’s social media channels. The opening event is set for Saturday, November twenty-second, in Plaza del Cardenal Belluga, which will host for the first time a city-wide, simultaneous switch-on of all Christmas lighting, including the outlying districts. The display promises a blend of music, colour and a magical atmosphere in the historic centre.
Two days later, on Friday November twenty-eighth, Plaza Circular will inaugurate Grand Christmas Tree with a renewed show. This year’s show has been refreshed, with a more visual and dynamic staging designed to heighten emotion and spectacle. The plaza will transform into a space rich in tradition and festive spirit as crowds gather to mark the start of the season.
