This afternoon, a small vessel identified as a patera arrived at Playa de los Locos in Torrevieja. Images show the boat, which is coloured white and blue and flying an Algerian flag, making its way to the shore with several individuals on board. According to available information, as the occupants descended from the vessel, five to six of them were arrested by authorities.

This incident raises questions about maritime activities in the area, reflecting ongoing issues concerning migration across the Mediterranean. Local law enforcement agencies have not commented yet on the circumstances surrounding the arrival or the identities of those detained.
