In Benidorm, three men have been arrested by the National Police on suspicion of misappropriating vehicle spare parts worth approximately fifty thousand euros. The arrests, which involve individuals aged thirty-four, thirty-six, and thirty-eight, emerged following a complaint from the director of a vehicle spare parts company who noticed significant discrepancies during an inventory check.

Investigations revealed that one of the suspects had been employed at the company and had been removing parts through a rear exit into an external container. Minutes later, two regular customers, who own workshops in the area, would collect the stolen items, indicating a well-organised scheme that had been operating without drawing suspicion.

Following analysis of the irregularities, police established surveillance around the establishment. Officers observed the suspect carrying out the thefts and confirmed that a vehicle with two occupants was indeed picking up the stolen parts. Further inquiry into the suspects’ operations revealed that they would generate quotes for desired parts, creating reference numbers that allowed the employee to identify and set aside items without recording them as sales.

After gathering sufficient evidence, the police apprehended all three men, who have since been placed in front of the Benidorm magistrate’s court. Authorities have estimated the economic detriment to the company at fifty thousand euros, underscoring the severity of the crimes committed.
