The Torrevieja Local Government is set to approve the tender for road resurfacing and accessibility improvements in a meeting scheduled for Friday, 17th October. The project represents a significant municipal investment of six million three hundred and sixty-eight thousand six hundred and seventy euros, divided into two lots.

Lot One focuses on the southern areas of the municipality, covering over forty streets and avenues, with an area of one hundred and fourteen thousand eight hundred and fifty-six square metres. Works will involve milling existing surfaces, compacting necessary areas, and ensuring compliance with existing infrastructure such as sanitation and electricity. Enhancements will also include improving accessibility at specific crossings.

Lot Two encompasses the northern region of Torrevieja, targeting over fifty streets and a total area of one hundred and eight thousand nine hundred and ten square metres. Similar to Lot One, this phase will see road resurfacing and upgrades to pedestrian pathways, especially around key schools and public service areas.

The execution timeline for the project is estimated at six months from the start date, following the signing of the project assessment report. The project will also come with a one-year warranty period after completion, ensuring all works meet local standards.
