The National Police have arrested five individuals in Benidorm, comprising four men and one woman aged between twenty-six and forty-one, on charges of theft. The arrests followed a report from the property owners, who discovered that their private land had been accessed by several individuals who broke a chain and dislodged the entrance gate. The suspects managed to steal three vehicles along with a significant amount of construction and agricultural machinery.

Evidence indicates that during the robbery, the suspects employed a crane to load the stolen vehicles. Additionally, they removed a surveillance camera and the door from a shed on the property. Upon arrival, the owners surprised the five individuals in the act. The crane operator attempted to explain his presence by claiming he had been hired by the supposed property owner for clean-up and removal tasks.

Investigations by police revealed that this crane operator had fabricated a justification. He sent a false message from another phone number, posing as a client, and even used a photo of an acquaintance to strengthen his alibi and evade detection. The police managed to fully identify all five involved and promptly arrested them on charges of robbery with force.

Notably, the primary suspect has a lengthy criminal record and was found to be in an irregular situation in Spain. Following procedural operations, the arrested individuals were placed at the disposal of the Benidorm Magistrate’s Court on duty.
