The National Police have arrested four men in a significant operation targeting an international drug trafficking network. This group reportedly utilised systematic shipping methods to transport well-packaged marijuana and hashish from the Murcia Region to countries such as Belgium and Canada.

The investigation, which began last July, revealed that the criminal group routinely dispatched drugs via parcel delivery services, taking extensive measures to avoid detection by law enforcement. The operation neared its conclusion after a police raid in September, involving multiple National Police units and local police from San Pedro del Pinatar.

Law enforcement officers executed searches of two residences located in San Pedro del Pinatar and Orihuela. The raid resulted in the seizure of eighty-one kilos of marijuana buds and nearly twenty-five kilos of hashish, all vacuum-sealed and prepared to evade detection.

Following their arrest, the suspects have been charged with drug trafficking and membership in a criminal organisation. They have been presented to judicial authorities, with the possibility of additional arrests still on the table as the investigation continues.
