In the early hours of Saturday morning, a fire erupted at a building located on Carrer Sant Ramón in Benidorm, resulting in the evacuation of twenty-five residents. According to the Provincial Consortium of Firefighters of Alicante, the fire originated from the electrical panel of the property. Emergency services received the call at four seventeen a.m. and worked diligently to extinguish the fire, managing to get it under control by five forty-six a.m.

During the incident, one individual required on-site treatment for smoke inhalation, although they did not need to be transported to a hospital. The response team included five firefighters, a sergeant, and a command vehicle, alongside a heavy urban pump (BUP) that enabled a rapid response, preventing further damage to the building.

Fortunately, the fire did not result in serious injuries, but it necessitated a precautionary evacuation of all residents. Authorities have urged the community to exercise extreme caution regarding communal electrical installations to avert similar incidents in the future.
