As autumn unfolds, the Ayuntamiento de Los Alcázares is gearing up for the Christmas season with new festive decorations. The council has set aside a budget of one hundred and fourteen thousand and ninety-eight euros to create a magical atmosphere that encourages both locals and visitors to come together. This initiative aims to boost culture and business within the town during the holiday season.

A spokesperson for the Los Alcázares Town Council stated, “The council is once again delivering extra-special lights and classic Christmas touches in all the most iconic spots around the municipality, hoping to draw in more visitors and keep the town lively, culturally and economically.” The new decorations will feature sparkling lights powered by energy-efficient technologies.

The upcoming contract involves supplying, installing, maintaining, repairing, and eventually dismantling the Christmas lighting. The selected contractor will be responsible for the entire process, including equipment management and clean-up. The emphasis this year is on sustainability, with plans to replace traditional bulbs with light-emitting diodes and micro-lamps, which not only decrease energy consumption but also aid in reducing carbon emissions.

The council has emphasised that these efforts are part of a broader commitment to environmental responsibility. The use of LED technology will significantly lower electricity consumption and contribute to the fight against climate change, making Los Alcázares not only festive but also eco-friendly as it prepares to twinkle brighter for the upcoming holiday season.
