Police have arrested three people, two men and a woman aged between thirty-nine and forty-one, following the theft of a handbag from a beachgoer at Postiguet beach in Alicante. The incident occurred while the victim was taking a swim. The suspects, who had been sitting on a towel behind her, allegedly took her bag during this time.

Upon returning from the water, the victim was alerted by two witnesses that the three individuals had stolen her belongings. She immediately notified a patrol of the National Police present in the area. Officers spoke with the witnesses, who provided descriptions of the suspects, and communicated these details to other patrols in the vicinity.

Minutes later, a responding police unit located three people matching the descriptions in a central area of the city, known for second-hand shops and where stolen items are often sold. The police were able to intercept the suspects and discovered the victim’s car keys, which one of the suspects had allegedly thrown into a nearby public bin.

Following the appropriate police procedures, the three detainees were presented to the courts in Alicante for further legal action.
