A seventy-one-year-old man tragically died on Tuesday afternoon after collapsing at Rihuete Beach in Puerto de Mazarrón. Witnesses stated that the victim fainted while engaging in physical exercise in a calisthenics area. Other onlookers mentioned he had just exited the water and felt unwell.
Emergency responders, including members of Civil Protection, arrived promptly to the scene located on the promenade in front of Rihuete Beach. Upon their arrival, they discovered that the man was in cardiac arrest.
Rescue teams began immediate resuscitation efforts using CPR techniques. Unfortunately, despite multiple attempts to revive him, their efforts proved fruitless.
Local police also attended the incident and subsequently notified the Guardia Civil about the tragic outcome. The community is in mourning following this unfortunate event.
